Our Mission..... The Association of New Mexico Activity Professional's mission is to provide quality support services to Activity Professionals who coordinate programs in senior centers, assisted living, adult daycare, independent living, long-term care, hospital and disabled communities through leadership, educational development, networking, and advocacy.

History

ANMAP (Association of New Mexico Activity Professionals) was organized in August of 1989. It was formed to:

  1. Encourage, increase knowledge, provide means for growth and recognition of Activity Professionals.
  2. Provide access to other professionals for ideas and networking.
  3. Provide information about Legislative updates.

The members meet once a year at the Annual Conference and quarterly in their established districts. ANMAP sponsors an Annual Conference. The Board of Directors for the association meet at least four times a year.

The association is divided up into 5 districts. Districts fall under the umbrella of ANMAP and meet quarterly earning continuing education hours. Activity Professinals are also able to network with one another which is an added benefit.

ANMAP State Conferences have been held annually since 1991 and are usually held in the spring.
